Welcome to Life Assembly!

We understand that walking into a new place can be intimidating, so we want to let you know what you can expect. We hope you feel like family, and experience a kind and warm welcome when people ask your name.

COME EARLY

You are welcome to stroll in right at 10 when service starts, but there are plenty of things happening before service! Pastor Jim leads an Adult Bible study, the youth hang out and meet for Donuts & Discipleship, and most importantly, the connection lounge is open to meet new people. The welcome desk in the lobby can greet you and point you to anything you might need!

GRAB SOME COFFEE

Even if you are running behind, we keep the coffee out for you! The connection lounge has coffee, tea, donuts, and some small breakfast treats to start your morning. Feel free to take your cup with you into the sanctuary.

FIND A SEAT

Service starts with upbeat contemporary worship right at 10am. We always have lyrics on the screen if you want to sing with us! Afterwards, we turn and greet one another before announcements. One of our pastors will share a message from the bible, and we usually end around 11:15.

STICK AROUND

On the first Sunday of the month, we host a short five-minute meeting called “NEXT” after service. This is a great chance to meet some of our staff, get to know more about our community, and discover more opportunities to get connected.

If you would like, you can let us know when you are coming! We want to make sure you have a great first experience and know that we have answered any remaining questions you may have.

BRINGING KIDS?

WHAT WILL MY KIDS DO?

We want your kids to love church as much as you do! We have fun games, teachings, and crafts prepared for each age. We want them to learn to make wise choices, build strong relationships, and develop their own faith.

HOW DO WE CHECK IN?

When you arrive, our kids' check-in stations are right in the lobby. These printed nametags help us keep all kids safe while helping us contact you if anything arises. Our welcome team is there to walk you through the intuitive stations, but you can save time by setting up your kids in advance!

WHERE DO OUR KIDS GO?

Babies and Littles from infant to preK can be checked into the Littles Zone before service starts at 10am.

Kids from K to 5th grade are dismissed to The Big Room after worship and announcements.

If you have young babies or kids who aren’t quite ready to join LA Kids, they are more than welcome to stay with you in the service, but we guarantee they will love their time at LA Kids!

FAQ

  • Our services begin at 10:00am and typically last around 75 minutes, including both music and teaching.

  • Wear whatever makes you comfortable! You'll see people in jeans, shorts, casual clothes, hats, dresses, and more. Come as you are.

  • Our music is contemporary and upbeat, and we love to celebrate and express our worship! You might know some of the songs, but either way we will have the words on screen for you to sing along with if you are comfortable.

  • Of course! You don’t have to be a morning person to still love church! We have coffee, tea, and water in the connection lounge along with some donuts and simple breakfast items.

  • Beside the sanctuary is our Gathering Room, a comfortable living room like space we use for small groups. We stream our service live onto the TV if you’d like a little more privacy or a quieter room to watch service from.
